Daily Life in Medieval Times

In medieval Europe  their daily life was highly different from ours now. Most well basicly most of the families lived in small crowded one bed room homes. This one room had all they needed like the bed room, family room and even kitchen and eating area so it was a all purpose room. Even the animals shared the area with them laying on hay but in close corters with them. That's basicly all they needed in their lives I guess.
Now lets talk a little about their education. Most medieval's had absolutly no education at all, even the wealthy were lucky to be able to read a little and very few could write. This was mainly because books were really expensive and would take way to much time to make. Therefore they wouldn't make any books soo nobody had a way of learning how to read. Now its time for a little trade. Since there were soo many geographic climates trade was often messed up and not able to be done. So trade and markets were always low when it came to the economy. Well to put it all together there's a little about the daily life of the medieval Europians.

Death In Medieval Rome

Now last but not least lets talk about death in medieval rome. You see death was very often for medieval rome because like I said before they weren't very clean or healthy.Since there were soo many dieseases and with frequent wars lives were lost daily by the thousands. When ever a person was dying they would pour ons of heated holy oil on the person. Death soon became a theme but ill tell you more about that in a minute. Thats some of the little basics of death.
Death was like a theme like I said before it its own holiday and everything. The theme of death was showed in a weird dance where the men would dress like a skeleton. They would dance in representations of all the different levels of society mainly to show that death could easly happen to everyone no matter how old, young, rich or poor. All of the death dances were shown in churchs and carvings of death. Therefore they made a tradition of the death of people.... scary.!

The Hospitals In Midieval Rome

The hospitals in medieval Rome were highly different and crazly different from now days. Most of the the hospitals only cared for the poor and the people who hd noone there to help them out. Also they would care for travelers and people who got hurt in natural diasters. Most of the docotors did not work in the hospitals it was all up to the monks. Back wa back then the hostiptals were mainly only found in the cities and were given money to stay a float by rich charities and religious oraganziations, kinda like today but maily the government funds the hospitals now days but sometimes charities too. Thats basicly all the basics of the medieval hospitals.
Now lets talk about the very few doctors they had at the hospitals. The real doctors all went to this small university type school of strict training. the first medical school of all time in medieval was a school found in 1000 and 1100 the leaders were 4 very old men who were thought to be very intelegent and wise when it came to health. The training that they would give to the students would take about 7 years. All of the students of the old men had to promise abedience to the pope and total and all devotion to god... differnt form now huh? The doctors students were also never allowed to marry and had to maintain studying religion, math, and some grammar and stuff like that. As you see the doctors are differnt for now2 but at least they were there to help.... sometimes.

Health in Medieval Rome

In the early medieval times the health and cleaness was not that well. To start off most of the people usually died of little infections and small viruses, that would now days be cured in seconds. The average life spand for a normal medieval person was 40 years old, and most children were lucky to reach age 20....young right? I  know why most people died so easly because most of the medicine was based on folklore, religious beliefs, and all of this stuff was put together with no medical knowledge at all...i wouldn't trust it. Medicine were mainly based on herbs but sometimes spells and charms. The medieval's believe that stars would affected their health therefore alot of cures they had did wayy more harm than good. So basicly medieval medicine and health was all a joke.
I would say the doctors were pretty crazy too. The docotors would wear silly costumes to show that they knew about the danger of infections. the beak they would had lots of strong smelling herbs in it that they hoped would clean the air they wak in so they could have breathable air. Also the suit they would wear would cover their whole body. On the mask of the suit the they had flabs to cover their eyes for protection form the infections that were everywhere. Crazy uniforms right well thats what they thought helped back then so, so be it.
Now lets go over the hygiene of the medieval's. The people were never aware of the threat of all the nasty germs and infections that surrounded them everyday. The town's people would dump all there toielt content in the well and the draining system which would make them stink and pollute very quickly. Therefore disease and once again infections could and would spread very quickly amoung the town's people. The crazy people would also throw their rottened food and waste right in the middle of the streets. Of course they had street cleaners but they would only waste their time to clear paths for horses and carts to come threw. Another horrible fact is that the people would share their homes with farm animals... yuck ca you imagine. They would only have fences to speperate the animals form the people. This mad it a wonderful place for germs to live, breath and duplicate. The craziest thing about it is the people were use to the bad smell of the animals, rotting food and the waste in the drains. I mean can you say hard life i don't know how i would live like that.

The Horrifying Black Death

I mean really what was the Black Death?
Well I’ll tell you all about it. The Black Death was
a horrible plague that spread around the medieval cities
like a bad smell. They call the Black Death a bubonic plague.
it started spreading around medieval Europe around 1348.
it was carried around the crowded towns by nasty rats, and infested
flees. When ever the rats would bite the town’s people, the bacteria
Would get into their blood an infect them…..gross.
Back to learning about what happen. The rats lived in
the town with the people in usually close corners with the people.
There were sooooo many rats because the rats had a good environment
To bred and live soooo therefore a lot of them did. The way that the gross
flees would get it is they would bite the rats and them the humans
and then they would infect the humans just like the rats. Since the
normal medieval towns were so degusting and gross both of these
animals had good places to live.
Before the Black Death Europe was highly populated but after
This horrible year or so they lost 30% of their population…that’s terrible.
There’s a lot of interesting facts that I would like to share with you. Did you know that?
When ever a bunch of people died like in the Black Death they would dump the rotting bodies in big pits that were very deep and wide. There were many signs that you knew you had it if you got huge black spots on your arms usually your armpits. Once you had these horrid nasty spots you could sadly expect to die in the next 48 hours. The only way to escape death in this terrible time was to escape your town’s life and your family around you. :(  Once you round this all up you get the horrifying Black Death.

The Crazy Treatment in Medieval Times

The treatment in the medieval times is sooo different from now days that you wouldn’t be able to imagine how different. The treatment back then about 100 years ago was all made out of natural things like plants and herbs. They also had magical thing that they thought could heal each other like spells and positions. They even had a certain type of pill that they would take to clean out their digestive worm (what they would call it). The worm was placed in cloths and was thought to keep away all types of viruses and or sickness.....weird thats very different from treament today.
Now I am going to tell you about all the differnt type of medicines they would use. They used this plant called marjoram which was used for healing: bruises, cuts, swelling and things like that. When they would place the cold plant on their skin it would slowly but surely make the pain and sarce go away. They also used a type of lemon balm as a special type of spooky magic to cure and send away horrible major sicknesses. the most common treatment they used was called feverflew. This was a strong smelling substance that was used for things like bad headaces and planty of things close to that. Well as you can see their treatment was very and highly differnt form ours today but you never in some of the medicines we live around everyday could be made with one of these treatments that they used way back then.......you never know.
