The Hospitals In Midieval Rome

The hospitals in medieval Rome were highly different and crazly different from now days. Most of the the hospitals only cared for the poor and the people who hd noone there to help them out. Also they would care for travelers and people who got hurt in natural diasters. Most of the docotors did not work in the hospitals it was all up to the monks. Back wa back then the hostiptals were mainly only found in the cities and were given money to stay a float by rich charities and religious oraganziations, kinda like today but maily the government funds the hospitals now days but sometimes charities too. Thats basicly all the basics of the medieval hospitals.
Now lets talk about the very few doctors they had at the hospitals. The real doctors all went to this small university type school of strict training. the first medical school of all time in medieval was a school found in 1000 and 1100 the leaders were 4 very old men who were thought to be very intelegent and wise when it came to health. The training that they would give to the students would take about 7 years. All of the students of the old men had to promise abedience to the pope and total and all devotion to god... differnt form now huh? The doctors students were also never allowed to marry and had to maintain studying religion, math, and some grammar and stuff like that. As you see the doctors are differnt for now2 but at least they were there to help.... sometimes.
